It has been quite a while since my last post. Life has thrown me a few curve balls and I had to adjust to turn them into home runs. The impact of family illness and the work-life balance issues has made me even more cognizant of how precious our health truly is. I have completed a nutrition class and am now a certified Functional Nutrition Informed Professional. I have been diving into more and more research and the benefits of fasting, finding the best quality of supplements, and experimenting with a more plant-based diet. I have had issues in the past with dairy and it, causing digestive issues and well as an overall inflammatory factor for my arthritis. I had a fondness for it, because of the degree of protein that it provided in my diet. I am now using a variety of foods to add other sources of protein and also fiber of which is a very important part of balanced diet. Quality and quantity of food is such a key factor to being healthy. Being mindful of your intake of nutrition and hydration is so important. Throw in good quality sleep for about 6-8 hours a night to really benefit the functionality of your body, mind, soul and mood. Along with at least 30 minutes of movement or exercise daily. This will help your body to intensify the benefits and results of eating healthy and staying balanced. It really does not cost any more to eat healthy if you think about spending your money on good quality food now for better health vs eating poor quality foods and later spending your money on illness! Stay hydrated with good quality, pure water and highly nutritious, colorful non processed foods, and you will be amazed about how much better you look and feel!
